Romance in the streets of London
David’s boyfriend hugged him and kissed him gently on
his forehead. David had tears in his eyes, so had his boyfriend.
“Don’t cry, David. This is a huge chance for you. You
deserve this, and you’ll only be gone for a few days. We’ll see each other
soon. I love you.”
“I love you too, Chuck. I love you so much.”
They felt sad, even though David was only away for
London for four days. They had spent every awake minute together the last two
years and weren’t used to be apart. A tear escaped from David’s eye, it ran
down by his cheek and Chuck gently kissed it away.
“Baby, you have to go. You have to be at your gate in
ten minutes.”
“Okay, I call you when I get to the hotel. Even if
it’s five in the morning here. I love you.”
“I love you too. Now go, you can’t miss this great
opportunity.”
They kissed for a few seconds. The kissed tasted good
bye of the tears who was leaving David’s eyes. When their lips parted, David
left without saying a word and went through the security check. When he was
clear he bought a bottle of Coke and went to his gate.
“I already
miss you, sexy.”
He sent that message to Chuck when he was on the
plane. He turned it off after he got the message that it was in Chuck’s inbox.
He didn’t listen to the stewardess when she told them what to do in case of
emergency. He already knew all this, He had flown so many times before and knew
everything about it. He thought about Chuck. The great sex they had the night
before, the huge breakfast they had this morning and the sweet kisses in the
airport. He wanted Chuck with him. He
wouldn’t make it on his own.
He was a singer and was going to do his first
performance and interview in Europe. He had never been to Europe before. But he
was excited to see all the things in London. He hadn’t so much free time, he
had four interviews scheduled and two performances in a mall and one in a
hotel. That was pretty much all he had to do. The only free time he had was
when he arrived to London and when he was sleeping.
He fell asleep after an hour and he woke up again when
a steward poked him on his shoulder. After 15 minutes they landed at Stansted.
The only baggage he had was the hand baggage so he left as fast as he could. It
was 1PM in Canada when he left, it took him about eight hours to get to
Stansted, and so it was 9PM in Montréal and 3AM in London. He sighed in relief
that he could sleep until 1PM the day after, he knew he would get tired.
He bought a first class ticket for a train and it took
him to London. It was dark, he could barely see anything and he was alone where
he sat. He was happy about that and picked up his iPod from the pocket of his
jacket. Sum 41 filled his ears during the one hour it took to get into London.
He then took the underground train to get to the hotel in Kilburn. A tired man
sat in a chair in front of a computer waiting for him. He checked in and went
up the stairs to the third floor. His room was beautiful and the bed was big.
He wished that Chuck was there with him. If he was, they’d have hot sex
immediately. He watched the clock, it was 4.15AM. Chuck wasn’t asleep yet, he
knew that. He dialed the number home with his phone and waited for the
beautiful voice he was about to hear soon.
“Hi baby, are you in London now?”
“Hi yourself sexy. Yes, I am. And it’s almost 4.30 in
the morning here.”
“Oh, maybe you should sleep. When are you starting tomorrow?”
“At three. So I can sleep until one or something. Just
wanted to let you know that I’m okay.”
“Okay, I can sleep now when I know that you’re fine.
Love you, sweet dreams.”
“Love you too.”
They hung up and David went to his bed. He was tired,
he felt that now. But he had to see the view first, before he could sleep. He
could see Big Ben from his window. It was cool, and sick. David Desrosiers was
in London for the first time in his life.
“Oh my God…”
He whispered it silently to himself. He wished that he
had someone to share this with. He drag the curtain down and pulled his clothes
off. He turned off the lights and then went to bed. He changed the time on his
phone and then set the alarm at 1PM.
It was noon when he woke up. Seven and a half hour of
sleep what was he was used to. He didn’t care. He had one missed call, from
Chuck. He also had a new text, he opened it and red it.
“Good morning
sweetie. Just wanted to see if you are okay. Hope you slept well, you know I
love you. Lots of kisses from Canada.”
He smiled, but didn’t answer it. He had already forgotten
the time in Canada and he didn’t want to wake Chuck up. He went in to bathroom
and took a quick, hot shower. He couldn’t help but thinking about what he and
Chuck would’ve done in the shower. He didn’t want to think about it, but he
couldn’t help. He missed Chuck a lot.
After the shower he drew a towel around his waist and
went out to the room to get some clothes. After thinking a bit he chose a black
pair of jeans and his pink, favorite shirt. He dried his hair with the towel
and then studied himself in the mirror. He looked weird without his makeup, at
least he thought so. Chuck thought he was cute. The only time David didn’t wore
makeup was at home with Chuck. He was comfortable with Chuck, he could show
himself.
He plugged in the hair straightener and started to put
on his makeup while he waited for it to get hot. His makeup was only mascara
and black eyeliner. Lots of eyeliner. When the straightener was hot enough he
started too straight out his hair. It was pretty much only the forelock that he
needed to straight out, the back of his hair took him about ten seconds to fix.
“Okay, I guess I’m ready to find H&M at Oxford
Street…”
He mumbled it to himself and looked through the
window. The building had a shape of a square with the garden in the middle, so
he could see the neighbor’s right in front of him. He saw a man; he was
shirtless, only wearing jeans. He was holding up some shirts and tried to
figure out what to wear. His shiny, brown hear was perfectly fixed and his
brown eyes had a beautiful sparkle. David couldn’t stop staring at that man. He
was so beautiful. There was something special with him; he wouldn’t get enough
of him. He looked like a drug.
It was a long time he felt like that while looking at
a man. That special feeling faded away as the time went on with Chuck. It was
also weird for him to feel that, he was together with a wonderful man and he
didn’t even know who that guy was.
David turned around and went out of the door. He
couldn’t stop thinking about that man. Was he going to stay long, or was he
leaving today? He wouldn’t care; he had a boyfriend who he loved more than anyone.
But he couldn’t stop thinking about that man.
His eyes got caught by a big Starbucks sign and he
went in. He ordered a Vanilla Latte (Chuck’s favorite) and waited for a few
minutes for it. The door swung open and in stepped that man. The mysterious man
from the hotel. He ordered the same as David. Their eyes met as they both
looked at each other.
“Sir, you’re latte.”
David shook his head as if he was waking up from
something and grabbed it. It was very hot, but he didn’t care. He went to the door;
the mysterious, hot man was waiting there for him. He just stood there, staring
at David. David felt a bit uncomfortable with that and felt his anger builds up
inside him, as it always did when he was uncomfortable with something.
“You’re staring at me.”
“Yes, you’re good looking. And I think I’ve seen you
somewhere.”
“We live in the same hotel. I saw you through the
window.”
“I think it’s from something else.”
David rolled his eyes, he was used to this. People
always said they recognized him from somewhere, and then they remembered he was
the new rock star and wanted a picture with him. It always happened, and he was
sick of it.
“Yes, I am David Desrosiers. The singer from Canada
with the songs You’re love is a lie, Welcome to my life and Save you. No, I don’t
have time for taking a picture or something like that right now because I’m
busy, but…”
“David, please. I didn’t mean it like that.”
“Then how did you mean it?”
David felt the stress in his veins. He was running out
of time. He had to find Oxford Street and get to H&M before 3PM. To make it
in time was important for him. He wanted to look good in the Medias eyes.
“You… have a special look. I like that. It’s something
you remember. That’s want I meant. What are you doing now?”
“I’m having an interview and a performance in H&M
at Oxford Street at 3PM. But I don’t know how to get there.”
“I know how to get there. I love HMV and it’s on
Oxford Street. I can take you there.”
“That’s… very nice of you.”
As they looked into each other eyes, David felt his
anger disappear. He felt like looking into Chucks eyes, and that feeling was
something he truly loved. He waited by the door as the man collected his latte.
A few teenage girls stared at David, but David didn’t care. But he thought that
he should have taken his sunglasses and a hoodie.
The man smiled at David and said his name was Pierre
Bouvier. As David looked into his eyes he felt like he was going to melt. Those
eyes were so beautiful, even more beautiful than Chuck’s eyes. It took Chuck
about seven months to get into David and really know the real David. For Pierre
it took about seven minutes. David felt so comfortable with Pierre. They talked
a lot as they went to Oxford Street. It wasn’t so long there; it only took them
20 minutes to get there. David actually never thought about Chuck as they were
walking, drinking their coffee and talking about everything. Everything except
for their relationships.
“Okay, here it is. You’re about ten minutes early, but
I don’t think it matters. Nice to meet you, David Desrosiers from Canada.”
“And nice to meet you too, Pierre Bouvier from Paris.”
They smiled at each other. A sudden feeling went
through David’s body. He wanted to kiss those big, pink lips. He wanted it so
badly, but he couldn’t. Pierre wrapped his arms around David’s waist. David
hugged him back, with no hesitation at all. He felt happy and safe in Pierre’s
big arms. He never wanted to let go.
“Okay, I think I have to go. Hope I’ll see you again.”
“Yeah, me too.”
Pierre let go of him and went down the street. David
stood there, looking for him and fantasized about how it would be to kiss those
lips. Two teenage girls poked him on his shoulder. He turned around with a big
smile on his face, wrote two autographs and smiled to the camera. And all he
could think about was Pierre’s warm arms.
The interview took him almost an hour, it was a nice
journalist and she asked him fare questions. Only about his music and nothing
else. The performance went also well. Almost a thousand people were there, even
though the famous Swedish singer Darin was there. He didn’t meet Pierre when he
went home. A few fans followed him back to the hotel. They talked with him all
the way there, but David didn’t talk to them. He thought about Pierre and
Chuck.
He collapsed on the bed when he got in there. It was
dark and he was hungry. It was 6PM, what was the time in Canada? He didn’t
care, he needed to hear his boyfriends sweet voice.
“Yeah, it’s Chuck.”
“Hi babe, it’s me. What are you doing?”
“I’m sleeping. It was a party at Seb’s place yesterday
and I got home at 5AM. I’ve been sleeping for five hours or something. God, have you already forgot everything about
me?”
“Yes. Maybe, whatever. Sorry I woke you up, just
wanted to hear your voice. I miss you so much.”
“Baby, I miss you too. But you’ll be home in two days.
Expect lots of kisses, hugs and hot sex.”
“Of course I am. Especially the sex part.”
“You’re so horny. Love you, talk to you tomorrow.”
“Love you too, sweet dreams.”
He hung up and looked up to the ceiling. What was
Pierre doing? How was he? Was he having feelings for David? David fell asleep
fully dressed, with the TV on and hungry.
It was the day before David was leaving. He woke up at
8AM and ate his breakfast. He hadn’t talked to Pierre since they met at
Starbucks and he didn’t think he would see him again. This day was a day off
for him. He went out, first to Starbucks and ordered a Caramel Macchiato. It
was his favorite and then he went in to Tesco, a small store beside his hotel.
His face was on the new magazines, most of the pictures was from magazines from
Canada. He grabbed “The Rolling Stone” and went to pay. He held his head down
all the time and hurried back. He ran straight into someone when he got in the
lobby.
“What the fuck?!”
“Sorry, David. Hope you’re Macchiato’s okay.”
“Oh, hi Pierre. Yes, it’s fine and you?”
“I’m fine, now when you are here. I was hoping I’d see
you again.”
His eyes were so beautiful; David could have died in
any second. Pierre was so hot and so wonderful. And that last comment made David
melt inside. There was something special about Pierre. Something he hadn’t seen
before and wouldn’t see ever again. Pierre really was something special.
“When are you leaving, David?”
“My flight goes at 5AM tomorrow, so I’m out of here
1AM or something.”
“I leave tomorrow too. Can we… do something? Go out
for dinner or something?”
“Yeah, sure. Can I come to your room at 5PM or
something?”
“Yes, room 312. I see you at five.”
He smiled at David, and David felt like melting again.
He danced up through the staircase as Pierre left the building. He felt exited,
but also sick. He had a boyfriend who he loved, and he was waiting for him at
home. What would happen if anything would happen at the dinner later? David
sighed and drank his coffee while reading his magazine. It was a few words
about his new song Save you, but that was it. And his announcement that he was
gay. He was afraid when he came out for the second time in his life. It was
hard enough doing that for his mother. But now the entire world would know. He
was happy that Chuck was with him when he came out.
He sighed again while thinking about Chuck. But, maybe
this was just a friend-dinner? There was 50% chance that Pierre was gay, and he
probably already had a boyfriend/girlfriend. He decided to go on that date. And
not care about Chuck. Nothing was going to happen anyway.
He knocked on the door three minutes past five. Pierre
opened the door almost at the same time, he must have heard when he came.
Pierre had dark blue jeans and a very nice shirt. His hair was perfectly fixed
and his brown eyes were shining of exiting and happiness. David had his normal
hairstyle, black, tight jeans and a white shirt with a black tie. Pierre leaded
in over David and their lips met. David was in shock at first, but then he
kissed back. The kiss was full of passion and strong feelings. That kiss was
the best kiss of David’s life. Pierre broke the kiss after almost a minute and
looked into David’s eyes.
“Sorry, I didn’t mean for that to happen, right now.
After the dinner was better, but you are so hot and pretty and I couldn’t stop
myself. Sorry.”
“You can do that again, after the dinner.”
They smiled at each other and went out to. The evening
was warm and bright. The sun was low, the sky slowly turned black. It was a mix
between purple and pink in a few places. It was all so beautiful. David didn’t
even thought about Chuck. He wasn’t going to find out about anything.
They went to a restaurant in Camden, it had four stars
and Gordon Ramsay had signed the door. People sat out with glasses of wine, but
David and Pierre went in. A band was playing violin and other classy instrument
while a woman dressed from the 60ths sang something in Italian. A rose was
placed on the table. It was a lot of people there, but David didn’t mind about
that. It still felt like they were alone there. Pierre ordered a bottle of red
wine and then a steak, David ordered a salad with goat cheese. They spent hours
there, drinking wine and talking about everything. They held hands all the time
and sometimes they kissed. It was near closing time and almost 10PM when they
left. They both were a bit drunk but they made it to the underground and then
the hotel. Pierre walked David back to his room, and then they just stood
there. Deeply looking into the others eyes. David felt like he was drowning or
something. He knew that the feeling he had now would never come back again. He
was never going to see Pierre again. Because Pierre had his life in Paris and
David his in Montréal.
“This was the best night in my life, Pierre.”
“Yeah, same here. I don’t want to go home, I want to
be with you. You’re something special. And I’m not saying that because you’re
famous because you are something special. I hope that we’ll meet again.”
David’s words got stock in his throat. He didn’t know
what to say. He just leaned over and kissed Pierre with more passion and
feelings than he ever had kissed before. Their tongs made a dance and they
experienced every part of the opposite mouth. David moaned into Pierre’s mouth,
his hands were wrapped around his waist. One hand made it up to Pierre’s head
and played with his hair. Pierre had his hands on David’s ass and he touched it
hard. David eventually broke the kiss and looked into his eyes.
“I have to pack. Here, I’ll give you my number.”
He wrote a note with his number and e-mail and put in
the back pocket of Pierre’s jeans. He kissed him quick on his lips and then
shut the door in front of him. He packed in a rush while he was crying and then
checked out. A taxi picked him up and he was at the airport at 3AM. It was lots
of people there and he went to his gate first time they called for it. He was
still crying, he had fallen in love in four days. It took him almost a month
for him to figure out that he was in love with Chuck. He was confused when he
went on the plane. He was also tired; he had been awake for a very long time
and knew he would be tired when he got home. He had a trouble of sleeping on
planes so he would be more tired when he got home. He pulled out his phone. He
had a text from an unknown number.
“Hi baby, it’s
Pierre. You’re a great kisser, I hope you know that. I wasn’t expecting to fall
in love in London, since I have a boyfriend in Paris. I hope I’ll see you face
to face again, maybe next time you come to London? I’ll always remember you,
love from Pierre.”
David stared at the phone and then deleted it. He felt
now that he was stupid for kissing Pierre like that. Pierre had a boyfriend and
so did David. What was wrong with him? He started crying again for cheating on
Chuck.
“Hi sweetie,
I’ll be home in about two hours. If you don’t pick me up I’m going to scream. I
love you so much, you’re my everything. And bring some alcohol to wake me up.”
“I’ll be
there, because I love you too. And no alcohol for you babe, but I can bring
some Snickers. I’ve missed you so much, my little idiot.”
David ran straight to Chuck’s arms when he got out of
the airport. Chuck gave him a Snickers and they kissed for a very long time.
They both whispered “I love you” while giving Eskimo kisses.
David spent
the rest of his life with Chuck. He became the greatest singer in his life
time, but he never saw Pierre again. He spent a lot of time thinking about what
would’ve happened if he answered the text that day he left from London. When he
lay on his deathbed he thought about that last kiss. When he went into the
light he met the man he was supposed to spend his life with. That man was
Pierre Bouvier.
